Dufferin Homes Charity Event

On September 12th I was a special guest at a Dufferin Homes Charity Event that raised money for Big Brothers Big Sisters and Habitat for Humanity. For about five months, Dufferin Homes sold tickets for a mansion sized play house that was to be drawn for at the event!  Thousands of tickets had been sold and many came out to the event just to see who would win!

Dufferin Homes sells modular homes that are absolutely gorgeous!
I could not help but snap pictures in each home because every one was so unique and so well designed. My mom even got into one of the jacuzzi tubs and said she felt like she was on vacation because the master bathroom was just that nice! Many of the rooms went from a huge bedroom, to a walk through closet and right into an unbelievable bathroom with a glass shower and a jacuzzi tub! I would love to live in one of their custom made homes!

Another special guest at the event was Veteran Saskatchewan Roughrider Scott Shultz. Scott played defensive back with the RoughRiders Siera Bearchell and Scott Shultzand helped them win the Grey Cup in 2007. He recently retired his football status and has become president of an insurance brokerage. Scott is such an outspoken guy with a great personality. He was nothing VolumePills but friendly and was always throwing in jokes here or there.

I got to talk with so many people and hang out with so many kids, it was really great. I signed autographs for many and made a small speech right before the draws. I felt great knowing so many people from in and around Moose Jaw are so supportive of me and what I have accomplished. Thank you Moose Jaw.:)

At the end of the day there were three big draws for three lucky people to win. The third prize was a beautiful hand made quilt, second prize was an outstanding painting and of course first was the amazing play house that everyone was dreaming to win. I got to make the draw for the 2nd and 1st prize and I was so happy to do so! I was thrilled when I found out that the name I had pulled out for the play house was a young girl. Congrats to all who won and thanks to all who came out!

There was Tim Hortons for everyone, free mini golf, live on location radio and jolly jumps for all of the kids. The event turned out to be a great success and such fantastic support was shown for Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitiat for Humanity and Dufferin Homes.
