Miss Teen Ontario-World 2010

Hello Everyone!

This week has gone by so fast! It is almost the weekend again and I still haven't blogged about last weekend!

First thing I can say is WOW! Ontario has some amazing girls who have excellent potential to become the next Miss Teenage Canada. During the weekend I helped out the girls competing for the title of Miss Teen Ontario with their walks, interview dilemmas and answered all of their questions. I had such a great time and left Toronto with 46 new friends.

On Saturday the days events were held at the Fairmont Royal York and the girls learned  skills on walking, speaking, performing and had a personal interview with the judges. I got to talk to all of the delegates and I was thoroughly impressed.  During the day we also learned our choreography for the  Opening Number to Britney Spears' "3." We rehearsed long and hard and I think the end result was a success!

On Sunday, excitement was buzzing throughout the Jane Mallet Theatre where the show was to take place that evening. Around every corner girls were getting glammed up and prepared for the show. For some reason I couldn't stop eating that day! I think I had about 10 chocolate cookies..hmm.. it was a good thing I still fit in my evening gown! Speaking of that, I got to wear this gorgeous cobalt blue dress from Bells and Bows Bridal Centre that is located in Lethbridge, AB and they are a national sponsor for the pageant! I felt great in my gown and all of the girls seemed to like it.

Once the evening started going, I was having a blast. Michelle Weswaldi and I hosted the show together and we shared some laughs with the audience. All of the girls did so great and I enjoyed watching them performing for their family, friends and of course the judges. When it came down to announcing the Top 16, I was so thrilled to call out the names and congratulate the girls moving on to compete in Miss Teen Canada in July.

Even though only 16 girls moved on that night, I thought all 46 were winners and maybe this year just wasn't meant to be. So CONGRATULATIONS to all of those who are moving on I will see you in July!
