Virtual Green Shirt Day

April 6, 2018 will forever be remembered in Canadian hearts as one of the greatest tragedies our country has ever witnessed.
On that day, the Humboldt Broncos Jr Hockey Team was travelling to Nipawin Saskatchewan to play game 5 in the playoff series against the Nipiwan Hawks to determine who would advance to the next round of playoffs.
Unfortunately the team never made it. Their bus collided with a transport truck. That tragic day, 16 members of the team, bench staff and the bus driver were killed. Logan Boulet was one of them. Logan was an organ donor.
Logan’s legacy lives on in the 6 people that received his organs and received the greatest gift of all…life.
April 7 2020 is GREEN SHIRT DAY. #greenshirtday.
In honour of Logan and the 15 other victims I encourage everyone, myself included to wear green, to promote awareness and highlight the #loganbouleteffect.
100 000 people were inspired by Logan and registered as donors. I myself am also an organ donor and know the importance of registering and having the opportunity for others to have a second chance at life!
Please visit www.greenshirtday.ca for more information.
On April 7, wear green, let’s help the #loganbouleteffect spread.
