Giving Back

Miss Teenage Canada is committed to giving back. We believe that every child should be empowered to be the best they can be.

Each year, Miss Teenage Canada is proud to support different charities across Canada. Our main focus and fundraising efforts are for the following charities.

Provincial Pageant Charity

Funds raised by delegates at the provincial level support Cardiac Kids. Which is a volunteer group established in 2000 to raise much-needed funds for children who are suffering from congenital heart disease. 1 in 100 Canadian children are born with a congenital heart defect and more than half need surgery to survive. More than half of the patients who require surgery are under one year old, and almost a quarter are less than a month old. Congenital Heart Defects or CHDs are the most common birth defect.

Funds raised by Cardiac Kids are used to support the children and staff of the cardiology ward at The Hospital for Sick Children.

National  Pageant Charity

Funds raised by the delegates at the National Pageant each year is in support of Free the Children www.freethechildren.com.  Free The Children is committed to leadership and children helping children throughout the world. We also believe in firsthand experience, therefore we award trips through Me To We to visit a Free the Children project to help shape a community.
Free the Children is the world’s largest network of children helping children through education, with more than one million youth involved in innovative education and development programs in 45 countries.
